Hello, I’m Pamela Ann Noxon, Founder of The Mourning Goods School of Holistic Grief Support.
Grief touches every life, yet few of us are taught how to truly hold it. As an empathic, highly sensitive, healer, grieving the loss of numerous Loved Ones, I was at a loss to find the type of support that worked for me. I knew I needed an ethical, personalized, conscious, sensitive, and holistic approach to grief support that honored my deep connection with life and love - but all I found in modern society were trite pseudo-spiritual quick fixes, the pathologization of grief, the deeply rooted fear of death from a culture who wants you to ‘just get over it’, triggering support groups, and a gaping hole in the holistic health field where real grief support should have lived. My losses changed my life into one devoted to transforming the way we show up for those who are grieving—inviting more holistic, compassionate, intuitive, and creative ways of caring that also support the special individuals who show up for others. I now know that grief is not something to fix or silence. It is something to witness, honor, and gently tend.
With more than twenty-five years in holistic practice, business leadership and mentoring, I have woven lived experience with advanced study in somatic and body-based modalities, hospice support, emotional release work, trauma-informed regulation, ancient wisdom, and expansive consciousness work. I took my pain and crafted a powerful, holistic, grounded, ethical, non-clinical approach to grief support that honors the whole person and the way they actually grieve; with the soul, the body, and the nervous system; and the deep connection that comes from their authentic source and actually deepens the enduring bonds of love. I now share my protocol to equip heart-centered people to be able to meet this profound part of the human experience with clarity, kindness, wisdom, and integrity. If you feel called to serve others after loss in a conscious, soul-centered way, you are in the right place.

A personal transformation that deepens your own relationship with grief
A more meaningful career that aligns with your soul’s purpose

Why Grief Work — and Why Now?
We are experiencing a national (and global) grief crisis.
Over 70 million boomers are losing loved ones.
More than 57% of Americans have experienced a major loss in the last 3 years.
Up to 80% of adults are grieving a loved one — yet few have conscious, compassionate support.
The standard protocol for grief support - the 5 Stage model - is failing people, and was never intended for grief over loss of another.
Psychologists and mental health professionals have little to no grief training in their education.
People are learning the hard way that grief affects your whole being your whole life, and they need someone who can meet them where they are.
Modern culture [and world] is experiencing a compassion crisis with so many people overwhelmed with trauma and loss that there’s nowhere to turn.
People are not looking for outdated, linear, “stages of grief” models.
They are craving human, holistic, heart-oriented guidance that meets them where they truly are.
There has never been a greater need for trained, ethical Holistic Grief Coaches.
And most importantly, Why You?
You don’t need prior experience. You need a calling — and a willingness to learn.
This course is ideal for:
Individuals who have experienced loss and want to transform it into purpose
People seeking a meaningful new career or life direction
Life coaches, wellness practitioners, doulas, and healers expanding their practice
Anyone who feels deeply called to help others through one of life’s hardest moments
Those ready to learn a complete, proven, holistic grief coaching protocol
People wanting personal healing alongside professional training
If you feel pulled toward grief work — even if you don’t yet know why — this work will meet you exactly where you are.

-
A: Absolutely! You will complete the Course with all the knowledge, tools, and trauma-informed skills you need to support clients 1:1 or in workshops or groups through their grief journeys AND build a purposeful, heart-centered coaching practice. One graduate of the course became certified on a Wednesday and booked her first client Thursday, the very next day and is now doing successful workshops and events!
-
A: Not at all. Pamela teaches you everything from soup to nuts in how to show up for clients with professional grief coaching, listening skills, verbiage, and even shares examples of professional documents and communication…the works. Just bring your heart and willingness to help others. This unique course is designed for both aspiring coaches and experienced practitioners who wish to expand their knowledge in heart-based holistic grief coaching.
-
A: Adding Pamela’s conscious, holistic grief coaching protocol to your practice is a perfect fit. Most coaching and mental wellness practices do not use grief specific tools and language. Life coaching is very ‘goal oriented’, many healing modalities are silent, and most mental health professionals and therapists do not learn any grief work in their education, as grief is not a mental illness or pathology.
Adding this comprehensive deep dive into grief and loss can help any practitioner show up for the clients for one of life’s toughest challenges.
-
A: One of the main reasons Pamela interviews each candidate is to assess their level of readiness. Rushing into helping others is not healthy for anyone - you or a client. But this course was also created specifically to be a place to evolve your own pain into purpose and turn to help others navigate all that loss brings, often from personal experience. The course is very trauma-informed, which includes being aware of and managing the activating aspects of grief work, all in a safe space. Helping others in grief in a healthy, holistic way requires addressing and tending to your own suffering in a safe and supportive environment. Pamela encourages a great deal of self-reflection and the course offers many built in resources for self-care. And part of helping others is maintaining balance and boundaries. While personal triggers will arise, Pamela’s training will help you develop the skills to manage them and maintain a safe, regulated presence for you, the other students, and your clients. It is always recommended to have personal support alongside this any course that deals with grief, trauma, and loss. If Pamela determines you are in a less than high-functioning state, she will recommend you get more personal help before joining her course.
-
A: Most of our students are working professionals looking to add to their existing work or change careers entirely. Pamela has created a system to deliver everything you need without overwhelming your life. Importantly, the growth and evolution that comes with all of this course’s introspective and powerful content needs time and should not be rushed. Healing deserves to be met with patience and love. The course is structured to become a healthy practice of showing up - authentically - for you. To help you develop the ‘muscle’ and the habits that will support you in your grief practice whatever it may be. To care for others you must start with yourself because what we do not transmute we transmit. We make sure that your whole self care is part of this work from day one.

A: The Mourning Goods Holistic Grief Coach Certification prepares you to support grievers using my proprietary protocol, developed over [30 years] of direct practice. It is not a clinical license and doesn't replace training in mental health counseling, social work, or therapy. It's a specialized skill set in holistic grief support — for coaches, practitioners, and healers who want to work with loss in a conscious, compassionate, body-and-spirit-inclusive way.
-
A: There isn't a governing accreditation body for grief coaching the way there is for licensed therapy or nursing — grief support work isn't a regulated profession. What you're really asking, though, is "can I trust this training?" And that's the right question.
What backs this certification isn't a badge from an organization that certifies anyone who pays a fee — it's the work behind it: decades of my own practice developing and refining this protocol directly with grieving clients, my own life experience with trauma, loss, and numerous conscious tools and therapeutic practices, the depth of the four-dimensional framework (spirit, mind, emotions, body) it's built on, and the results it's produced for the people I've trained and the clients they now serve. That's a different — and, I believe, more meaningful — kind of validation than a logo on a website.
About the Protocol
The Fundamentals of Holistic Grief Coaching Certification is built on a protocol Pamela Ann Noxon developed over more than twenty-five years in holistic practice — refined through her own losses, decades of hands-on work with grievers, and advanced study across somatic and body-based modalities, hospice support, trauma-informed regulation, and ancient wisdom traditions.
The protocol is organized around a conscious, holistic model — mind, body, emotions, and spirit (with soul woven throughout) — that treats grief as something to be witnessed and integrated, not diagnosed or fixed. It's syncretic by design: students are exposed to more than sixteen fields of healing arts, from art therapy and somatic practices to polyvagal-informed techniques, ritual, and ancestral healing, so each practitioner can build an approach that's authentically their own rather than following a single rigid script.
The training itself runs sixteen weeks with bonus classes and workshops, combining on-demand core teaching with live practicum sessions, private mentorship with Pamela, and experiential client work — grounded throughout in a code of ethics centered on inclusion, evidence-informed practice, and deep respect for lived experience. It is explicitly non-clinical: it does not replace licensed therapy, and it teaches practitioners how to recognize when to refer out.
This is the foundation every one of my certified Holistic Grief Coaches is trained in — not a credential purchased from a third party, but a protocol built from direct practice and taught by the person who developed it.

A: No. Pamela’s content is holistic and spiritual but is not of a religious nature. Her syncretic approach often touches on many cultures, belief systems, and ways of dealing with death, loss, and grief. After all, we as a species have been trying to navigate loss and grief for millions of years. We like to say that the afterlife and the big questions like “what happens when we die?” are the domain religion, while grief is the domain of humans. We all grieve regardless of our belief system. Each person’s unique relationship with the spiritual is a vital aspect of holistic grief support, and Pamela’s work honors each griever as an individual with their own spiritual system, spiritual needs, and ways to navigate loss, so her work dovetails well into any open-minded spiritual system. More fundamentalist religious approaches are not a good fit for this work as they tend to have a “single answer” approach to loss that may bypass a healthy, holistic grieving approach. Please see The Mourning Goods Code of Ethics before reaching out to apply for courses.
-
A: Courses vary from $299-$5999 depending on the student’s needs, experience, amount of in-depth learning desired, personal time with Pamela, or live on demand options a student chooses.
