Honoring Our Fur Babies and Friends with Public Art and Giving

There are many ways to honor the loss of a Loved One, and everything they meant to you in life. You shared your ups [the mountain], your downs, your hard times, and your heartbreak with your sweet fur baby or soul pet. You gave, and received the most unconditional love you may ever have in life. I love public memorials to anyone, but especially to our beloved pets. A perfect example is this gorgeous totem pole in San Marcos, California, covered with the collars and tags of many very good boys and girls - this monument to unconditional love, and really really good days of walksies, stands at the top of a steep trail traversed by hundreds of people a year and many many good dogs.

At Mourning Goods with every product order we donate to your choice of a variety of charities. If you want to do something special in honor of your good dog consider donating to one of the animal-related charities we support:

FROSTED FACES FOUNDATION

Frosted Faces Foundation develops solutions to ensure all of the senior animals that cross our path have a family and proper veterinary care.  We rescue senior animals and rehome them, we offer financial assistance to senior pet owners, and we board senior dogs at an inexpensive rate while providing specialized care.

15/10 FOUNDATION

The 15/10 Foundation (you may be familiar with Matt Nelson creator of We Rate Dogs) sponsors shelter dogs with medical needs, removing their financial hindrances to adoption and expediting their happily ever after. The Foundation fills a void in the animal welfare world by sponsoring dogs with behavioral or medical issues unlikely to ever make it out of the shelter.

BEST FRIENDS ANIMAL SOCIETY

With a motto of “We will reach no-kill in this country by 2025.” you know they care! Best Friends, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, that operates the nation’s largest sanctuary for homeless animals and provides adoption, spay/neuter, and educational programs.
