Bringing her quarter-of-a-century experience with inspirational speaking, holistic healthcare, one-on-one wellness coaching, leading engaging workshops, media interviews, and meaningful and soulful product lines, Pamela hopes to be a small part of helping people live fully after loss, and honor their loved ones, as they heal with their grief in their own, authentic way.
Q & A with Pamela: Are these courses right for me?
Q: I’M AFRAID I’M NOT READY - how do I know if i’m ready?
This course is geared to take people from early and middle stage grief…. This is not a course for anyone immediately following loss or trauma. Pamela assesses every student applicant to make sure they are ready as it’s not possible for Pamela to take in students if they aren’t at a certain point in their Grief experience. It’s OK to be scared change is scary. It’s also OK to not know yet…It’s quite common for people in grief to not know what they want or need. They just know they need something different something else something that is not going back to their old life. CLICK
Q: I’M AFRAID. What if IT’S GOING TO BE TOO EMOTIONAL, UPSETTING, OR TOO SAD?
One of the basic tenants of my holistic grief coaching approach, is using transformative exercises and techniques to help someone through the worst days and moments part of a holistic approach that is incredibly important, is a core of finding life and love, and even Joy again. Yes, it’s about grief and loss but ultimately it’s about life and love and transformation. Ignoring our emotions and our fears only make them worse finding healthy contained ways to move feelings and safe space is actually the way through to any healing. This course is not a substitute for any kind of one on one dedicated grief coaching or therapy, but it is an immense amount of support. That’s why we make sure to enroll people that are at a certain level of readiness someone who has recent loss or trauma is probably not a good candidate. You have to be able to self-regulate to some degree. Oh, there will be tears and laughs, and major insights and ahas! remember, though we never fix our grief. We learn to integrate it, and live our lives, full and happy lives that incorporate the full range of feelings that Grief demands. But you cannot be in early stage Grief brain and shock and learn new things. So if you’re interested hop on a call with Pamela and she’ll help you figure out if you’re ready or not - she’s not able to take people that aren’t ready because she can’t teach a group of people if one person is in a space that still requires more one on one work then a group setting allows, so if you’re not ready she’ll refer you to someone or help you assess what’s best for you. 🩷
Q: WHy 7 MONTHS? That seems like A LONG TIME to focus on grief?
That’s an ironical thing about grief - time and space are altered when you’re stuck in trauma loops or the worst experiences, and you end up trapped for years or decades unable to evolve, grow, or live fully again. Our aim is that you experience so much transformation and insight and Validation and expansion that seven months are going to go by in a heartbeat. The funny thing about reinvention and transformation is that when you’re ready you’re ready, and nothing can stop you from growing and changing. In fact, it becomes incredibly uncomfortable to not grow and change. We schedule courses to be as convenient as possible for everyone to be on live but if you miss a class, they are all recorded. You are welcome, and in fact, encouraged to rewatch the videos and zoom calls, because we know that every time you rewatch them something new reveals itself.
Q: WHAT IF I GET OVERWHELMED BY MY GRIEF IN THE COURSE?
I can guarantee you you will be moving your feelings during this course. You just might feel overwhelmed, but never alone. But part of the course is learning, transformative, tools, and techniques to help you with Grief because Grief never gonna just go away so learning how to navigate it deal with it and grow with it and from it is a big part of the course. Pamela keeps track of each student’s experience to make sure that they are able to get stay the course. Because of the nature of grief and grieving if a student is utterly emotionally, overwhelmed at some point within the course and cannot keep up, it’s absolutely OK to drop out and have credit to start up fresh in the next cycle of the same course. The last thing we want is to add more burden to your grief experience we want to help you navigate your way through it and allow you to transform into a new, more holistic version of yourself. In addition to Pamela’s support, we find that the support of the entire group can help you move through more than what you thought you could. Having peers that understand exactly what you’re going through is immensely supportive.
Q: IS ZOOM GRIEF WORK REALLY AS EFFECTIVE AS IN PERSON?
Well, in a word, yes. Ever since Covid most therapists, medical professionals, and coaches have had to work virtually. Working virtually allows us to have a more diverse experience, and to help more people than ever before using only physical, in-person workshops and courses.
Q: SHOULD I BE IN GRIEF COACHING OR THERAPY?
If you think you need it absolutely again my courses are not a substitute for therapy or medical care. During our assessment interview I will be looking for signs of whether or not you should be referred to a Grief coach or a therapist as I’m unable to single out any students who need more than what a group course can deliver. That being said the community support and the transformative exercises and the validation that students get from my courses goes a long way and helping navigate grief. As human beings it’s essential that we find our tribe especially during trauma or the darkest of days because our worst pain thrives in isolation not only do you get one on one coaching from me, and gather techniques skills and insights to navigate grief, the course itself becomes a community of compassionate and supportive peers.
Q: WHAT IF I AM IN GRIEF COACHING OR THERAPY ALREADY?
My course in no way shape or form conflicts with counseling coaching or therapy in fact it builds on it when I had my counseling practice years ago I only worked with clients who were actively under a doctor or therapist’s care. My courses are not a substitute for medical care or therapy and none of the information I teach should be misconstrued as medical advice.
