Try this Art Therapy Technique for Grief: We love Grief Origami!

RECOMMENDED ART PROJECT: ORIGAMI

Studies show that repetitive tasks are soothing for trauma and grief and that creating art helps you move feelings of sadness as you create something new. We think this timeless art is a beautiful way to self-soothe. Artist and author Michèle Saint-Michel’s work is on Instagram @OrigamiSwan. Says Michèle, “Learn to fold an origami swan, and befriend the often confusing and sometimes unsettling feelings experienced during bereavement and after loss. With each origami swan that takes shape, meditate, grieve, and honor their memory.” Check out Michèle’s beautiful book Grief is an Origami Swan for more inspiration. You can even download free templates [and find links for supplies] for Origami projects on Michèle’s website here.
